About

I am a fashion stylist, visual merchandiser and aspiring photographer based Victoria, BC. With over 10 years of experience in the fashion and retail environment, I aim to challenge the concept that style means to conform to one specific image. As Diana Vreeland once said, “Don’t be boring!”.

This blog started out of my desire to both archive my inspiration and also share my journey away from bonafide shop-a-holic and towards becoming a more conscious consumer. Where I once thrived on fast-fashion and one-time-wear outfits, I now aim to build an enduring and stylish wardrobe from brands that hold similar values to my own. That is, instead of focusing solely on profit, we begin to look at how we can benefit the employees, communities, and environment in all stages of the supply chain, from design to manufacturing, distribution, and sales.

What inspires me? In some form or another, everything around me. It is the people on the streets and my closest friends and family, the locations I visit and dream of exploring, the food I eat and crave, the movies and photos I watch and mull over, and the shapes, colours, and structure found in nature and the city synonymously.
